So this has been stressing me out for a week now. My old Pajero started shuddering when shifting from second to third gear, and I know transmission work is never cheap. I took it to one place in Al Nahda and they quoted me 4500 for a full rebuild without even opening the gearbox, just based on a short test drive. That felt super fishy to me. I really need to find a shop that actually knows what they’re doing and won’t just throw parts at the problem. Someone at work recommended Professional Auto Service Sharjah, saying they’re pretty transparent about diagnostics and will actually show you what’s wrong before charging. Has anyone here used them for transmission work or any major repairs? I don’t mind paying fairly if the job is done right, but I’ve been burned before by garages that fix one thing and break two others. Also if anyone knows what a reasonable price for a Pajero transmission rebuild or replacement should be in Sharjah, that would help a lot. Really don’t want to get ripped off again.
